Rehana Nabi Dar , a 17 years old girl from Kursoo Padshahibagh Srinagar. Rehana’s love for calligraphy began at a young age.
A naturally talented artist, she is true now pursuing her study in srinagar, where she works as an independent artist.
As a young child, Rehana clames she always loved writing. “When I say writing though, I mean writing words, names, letters.
You know, the like. I don’t know there was a term for it! ” Rehana would particularly enjoy composing and designing his own name in several ways and designs , and other people soon began to require notice of his natural talents.

“My friends would inquire from me to write down their names in books during classes, and i’d roll in the hay to form them happy.
Rehana Nabi : It was only much later in life that i discovered there’s a term for it, and also a spread of tools available to explore an equivalent developing my very own sorts of ‘writing’, and haven’t looked back since.
“In simple words, calligraphy on behalf of me isn't just an art, but also a medium of expression which means, can’t
be pretty and delightful always. that's exactly why you’ll find that my works are nearly always experimental. I mean, I generally don’t follow any termed calligraphy style forms.
There are a couple of influences sure—spiral calligraphy, black lettering, and gothic family, to call a couple of . But i might wish to christen my style simply as ‘imperfect calligraphy’ because I firmly believe that imperfection is gorgeous .” Her inspiration has always been her Dad.
