Ashima Sharma: Jammu's First Female Fashion Choreographer and Artist Making Waves in the Entertainment Industry
Jammu and Kashmir's first female fashion choreographer and artist, Ashima Sharma, has been making waves in the entertainment industry with her impressive achievements over the years. With a passion for modelling, acting, and dancing, Ashima Sharma has been awarded various titles and accolades, making her a prominent figure in the industry.
Starting from being a semi-finalist in Kala Sangram held in Chandigarh in 2010, Ashima Sharma went on to become Miss J&K 2011 and winner of Duggar da shalap in the same show. She was awarded Duggar di chankar by Jackson academy for her achievements in modelling in 2012 and a Young Women Achiever Award by Nirvana Academy and Indian Blood Donation in 2014.
Her success continued in 2015, where she was a Top 10 finalist in Miss Shimla and winner of Face of the Year. She also won the subtitle of Perfect Hair and Walk in Face of the Year and was a Top 7 finalist and winner of the subtitle Perfect Skin in Miss North India 2015 by Glam Bird’s Entertainment.
Ashima Sharma's talent and dedication continued to be recognized in the following years. She choreographed the modelling show Mr. Dude and Miss Diva 2016 and was awarded the Women Achiever Award by Light of Nation National NGO in the same year. In 2016, she was also awarded Miss IAWA and made a genius world record by walking the ramp for 25 hours.
In 2018, Ashima Sharma choreographed Mr. and Miss Duggar and presented her state and country internationally in Japan on the occasion of 70th Independence Day of India. She was awarded the Golden Star Award by NIER INDIA and was a Runner-up in Miss Himalaya 2019. In the same year, she was also awarded as one of the 51 Most Influential Women of India.
Ashima Sharma has also made a name for herself in the acting industry, having worked for DD Kashir channel as an actor. She is the first female fashion choreographer of Jammu and Kashmir and has anchored more than 100 shows all over India for various brands such as Intas, Vivo, Hindustan Petroleum, Blackberry, Itel, Brij Cement, Wave Mall, Kingfisher, IFB, Ambuja Cement, Nerolec, and Rubaru Mrs. India.
Recently, Ashima Sharma was awarded the Real Superwomen Award in 2020, and in 2021, she won the Rubaru Miss World Beauty Queen title, further cementing her position as a talented artist and role model for aspiring performers
