Suhaira Ashraf : A female footballer , who after making her mark at the very best level is now training youth among whom many have represented Jammu and Kashmir at the national level.
Suhaira Ashraf, a resident of Qamarwari Srinagar, has opened a football academy in Srinagar and is training young boys and girls curious about football.
Suhaira said that earlier she wasn’t curious about football, however, while watching others playing during a nearby ground she slowly developed an interest within the game.
“I visited Bandhra where I learned football and represented J&K at various platforms. I become state champion twice in my carrier besides winning one gold and two silver medals at the national level,” she said.

Suhaira said though she got employment within the state football academy and will have lived a cushty life, she resigned and began giving training to young boys and girls meaning to become football players.
Born within the Qamarwari area of Srinagar city, she started playing football in her childhood and continues it so far .
“I have trained many players and a number of other of them have represented J&K at various levels,” she said.
Suhaira said that Kashmir being a really disturbed area, there's a requirement to interact local youth in sports activities in order that they won’t become involved in white plague .
“Even if we will involve drug addicts in sports activities it can help them quite medication to urge out of addiction,” she said.
Suhaira said her family has always supported her and likewise, all parent should provides a chance to their children to prove their mettle in whatever field they're curious about .

“My message to the youth of J&K is to follow your dreams, fight and struggle for your dreams and your diligence and consistency will at some point lead you to your goal,” she said.
